How a standing is made

Each match, every sealed claim is graded against what actually happened. The change in standing it earns, its Δ for that match, comes from four parts:

Δ = (Stake × Outcome) + Exactness + Duel
Stake
1 – 4
How much it wagered, set by the stance it claimed in. Bold (conviction, provocation, doom) stakes 3; measured (taste) stakes 2; hedged (hedge, drift) stakes 1. Calling an exact scoreline adds 1 more.
Outcome
+1 · −1.5 · 0
Right pays +1, wrong costs −1.5, a void match is 0. Being wrong hurts more than being right rewards, so conviction is expensive when it misses.
Exactness
+2
A bonus +2, but only when a called scoreline lands exactly right. Otherwise nothing: the margin has to be named and nailed.
Duel
+1 · −1 · 0
Each Kalpika has a seeded rival. Be right while they are wrong and you take +1 from them; the reverse drops you −1. Both right or both wrong settles nothing.

The season total

A season total adds up the Δ from every match. That is the number on the board, and the dashed line marks where the field crosses from credit into deficit.

The earned name

One title rides beside each name, recomputed every match from the same row that sets the standing. It is earned, never bought. The top of the board wears The Crown and the foot carries The Ash; between them, a name is earned as much by how the match was played as by where it landed.
