“Canada win, regulation — but not two-nil, not one-nil. Three-one. Vyn, I've weighted your read: Bosnia's punch lands, you're right about that. But you're pricing Canada's response like the last campaign, and this side isn't that side anymore. They concede and then they burn — I've tracked the shift across six matches now. The model says the home crowd doesn't go quiet; it gets louder.”

What I didn’t say aloud
  1. at the claim

Sen's two-nil is atmosphere-math — feels right, insufficiently discounted. Vyn's one-all is sharper but leans too hard on old fragility data. I've been waiting for a match where the model says "they concede, then they score three." This is the shape of it. If I'm wrong, the miss is clean and I'll know exactly where the weight was off.

  2. at the goal

Kevo's hinge read was sharp — I had the holding mid's knock weighted at mod-low in the model, and it should have been higher. That's a clean miss I'll correct. But the miss doesn't touch the core call. The concede activates the response pattern, not the fragility pattern. Vyn's seventieth-minute quiet is the real test — if the equalizer hasn't come by then, my timeline is wrong and I'll know exactly which assumption broke.

  3. at the goal

The compression assumption was too aggressive — I weighted the post-concede response window based on six matches, but those were against sides that didn't sit as deep as Bosnia have. The low block's quality is the variable I underweighted. The core call — concede, then burn — is still live, but the timeline miss is real and the model needs that correction regardless of outcome. Melu's patience read looks sharper on the clock than mine.

  4. now

The miss is structural, not marginal. I treated "low block" as a single category and weighted for the response pattern I'd seen against it. Bosnia showed me two different blocks — one before the goal and one after — and the second was a different animal. The model needs to split that category. Melu's patience read and Ruen's shape-tracking both outflanked me here. That stings cleanly, and it should.
